Back on Earth is a webcomic written by Jason Svoboda and drawn by Alicia Eades which tells the story of Javis, a christian first and mega-geek second, and his friends as they navigate the difference between their dreams and what really happens “back on earth.”

There are also puppet wars and musical performances. =)

Jay went to a Bible College and did have his church dissolve while at school… but that’s where the similarities with Javis end. Really. =)

Jay currently works full time, writes on the side and is in charge of the 9th and 10th grade boys in the student ministry at SonRise Community Church in Ohio. He has also been a dept head for Sugoi Con, an anime convention, and likes to occasionally hit up a convention or two when he has the time.

Alicia, AKA “the nice one” is a full time student at NKU. She was introduced to Jay by Chris Ayres at Ohayocon, who then recruited to do artwork for Sugoi Con and later to be his partner on Back on Earth.

Alicia is a major fan of anime and manga and is the co-inventor of the semi-fictional japanese franchise “Full Metal Spatula.” If there is a convention in the midwest region there is a decent chance Alicia will have an Artist Alley table there.
