Guest Comic #4

Click here for the original Jehovazor reference.

Today’s comic is brought to us by LongTimeUnderdog, thanks for the great comic!

So far I’ve been blown away by the guest comic submissions, thank you to everyone who has helped out. I’ve been quiet lately, with the bad weather and dogsitting duties and all so if I haven’t been in contact on the email front my apologies I will try and get back on that. =)

Have a great day folks!

Jay

Really nice guest comic. Its been nice reading all the new styles and finally watching an anime that only Javis will like.

Is there a second H in Jehovahzor? or is it just Jehovazor?

  2. Allen's Brain

“Jehovahzor”?! I thought it was “Omnipo-tron!”

  3. Sara(h)

    ok that…that is brilliant.

  4. alurker

    FORM BLAZING SHOVELl!!!
Followed closely by – HOLY BADGER ATTACK!!!

  5. Frost

XD I love it! I would watch that anime in a heartbeat!

  6. Ms. Jack Meyers

I like it. Is the artist available?

  7. Andrew

That is a truly awesome piece of work there.

  8. LTU

Thank you all for your enjoyment of the piece. I put the extra H in the first Jehovazor to try to simulate an accent. Sadly it just comes off as a typo. But, to answer Ms. Jack Meyers’ question. Why yes I AM available. You can reach me at LongTimeUnderdog@hotmail.com

I want to see that cartoo– uh, animated feature!

Was “Isreal” meant to be a political pun, or was that serendipity?

  10. LTU

    Ahh . . . neither. I think it’s a typo my editor missed.

  11. Cuthalion

@Grandpa Chet: It’s a take on the Israel in the Bible. Jehovah refers to the Biblical God, while Baal refers to a Caananite god that was frequently worshiped by Israel in the Bible. (A practice by which Jehovah was not amused.)

  12. Cuthalion

@Myself: Oops. Totally missed the spelling thing and thought you were asking what Israel had to do with it. :P

  13. LTU

By editor of course I totally mean me. Anyway. Granpa Chet . . . would you happen to be related at all the magician by the same name?

  14. Christian

SERIOUSLY, you guys should at least try an animation of this.

  15. Granpa Chet

Gadzooks, LTU — You’ve heard of me, even though I haven’t performed since November?

    *jeep!

Cuthalion, you might also remember Ba’al (He would get angry if you forgot the apostrophe) was also the inventor of the ancient game where a losing team would have its captain’s head thrown for extra points into the – basket Ba’al.

  17. David

I love it. The candles on the back were a great touch (although there should be 7 not 9). I think it would be pretty tight if an actual comic was made out of this. Maybe it could be like Nadesico where a character is watching this parody anime and you get to follow it through the series.

  18. Allen's Brain

    David,
Normally there would have been only seven candles, but this was the Jehovazor Chanukkah special.

  19. LTU

Well, every picture of a menorah that I saw had 9 candles on it. I’m actually not sure what you’re talking about by 7 candles.

  20. David

I was going by the gold lampstand in the tabernacle. That one had 7. (Exodus 37:17 – 23)

  21. Granpa Chet

Interestingly enough, the temple menorah has seven candles, while the Hanukkah menorah has nine. The difference is that the temple menorah represents the burning bush (and, evidently, one week) while Hanukkah celebrates the miracle of the one day of oil which lasted eight days.

  22. David

Interesting. I thought the seven candles represented the seven golden lampstands in heaven, which represent the seven spirits of God in Revelation 4:5. (Yeah, I don’t understand it either.) Of course, the Jewish people don’t have the book of Revelation, so it makes sense that they would think it something else.

  23. cwDeici

    ‘than’ not ‘then’

  24. markward

I’d pay money to see it. Jehovazhoar, brilliant!
