#80: Jacque the Monkey

” Tune in next week for the further adventures of Commander Obvious!”

The Back on Earth fan page… FINALLY a use for this Facebook thing.

OK, let me get something out of the way here: it was pointed out to me that I didn’t give Alicia proper creative credit at our “Create a Comic” panel at Sugoi. This is inexcusable, as Alicia has been a good friend and wonderful person to work with so for those of you that made the panel: Alicia has been a big part of the creative process every step of the way, she is just as responsible for how BoE has turned out as I am and I’m a big fat jerk for not making this clear!

That aside, we had an awesome time at Sugoi Con. It was great to see Dan Hess, creator of “Weesh” again, along with the Townsends.

Of course a real highlight for me is that Sugoi is the only con I usually can hang out with James Hatton. Check out our facebook page to see the joke his GF and I played on him saturday morning. Heh. Good to see you dot boy!

To everyone who swung by the table, thanks and it was fun meeting you all. I hope those who made the panels had fun, and make sure to check out the panel created comic on the In His Likeness site once it’s posted. Creating that was a fun, if weird experience. Lol.

Have a great weekend everybody, see ya monday!

Jay

PS: There is now a Facebook share button on the left column, so if there is a Boe comic you like you can click the button and share it with all of your friends on facebook. It’s a nice way to help promote Back on Earth, so please consider sharing us. We promise not to bite. =)

HA HA—-This one really struck me today, because someone I know just got run over by that same Stupidity Express. I’m glad Javis caught himself before it reached him! Good man.

Man, having a little monkey having a stupid alarm would be very helpful.
I could also see him inserting the comic of a few weeks ago.

The best part of it all?

Its a Buddhist Monk that clues him in.

Nothing like being the ONE reader who doesn’t get the gag!
    What’s with the monkey?

Allen, the joke was just that Javis is slow on the uptake sometimes, as evidenced by the fact that his “idea lightbulb” is powered by a monkey with a hand crank. Kind of hard to explain really. =)
