#45: On the Job Training
” Some people like to switch the golden rule with the iron fist…”
Heya heya folks, hope everyone had a good weekend!
Went and saw the new Transformers movie on staturday, and it was a bunch of fun. It was little more crude in it’s humor than I would like in a movie largely aimed at kids, but man did Optimus and Bumblebee kick some ass. Sparky the intern at my church hasn’t seen it yet so I keep threatening to send him spoilers in texts and voicemails and ruin it for him. It’s fun being evil sometimes. =)
So far it seems like people are liking the anime con story arc, which is nice since I do have some con stories to tell. Ikasucon and Matsuricon are coming up and I will likely be at both of them in some capacity so it would be cool to meet some readers. Yay.
Take care and thanks for reading!
Jay

Hey, with fanboys you sometimes need the extra-large Cluebat® just to get their attention.

I have a feeling that Ye Holy Whack-a-Shovel will make an appearance by #50.

Who wouldn’t love her? =)
Also, I want my nachos with some good ol’ whack-a-mole please. XD
Btw, what kind of kids are you talking about? These Transformers movies are also a bit violent at times.

Crono, there were kids of all ages at the showing I went to. And yeah it’s a violent movie, but it’s a violent movie that had a cartoon version on CN and a new toyline and all that… pretty much aimed at young boys who like things blowing up. =)

An anime con would sound fun… if it wasn’t expensive/weird/ a bunch of otaku’s talking about their favorite episode in code geass or whatever…

Lue, heh don’t let the comic make you think that anime cons aren’t worth attending… I have friends who have the time of their lives at them. =)

Jay/author-guy, I would say actually that the movies are aimed at old die-hards who are looking for/open-minded enough for something new in the original vein. Although I can see why alot of folks would bring their kids. The first movie was much more family friendly, and then, still not exactly something I would want kids watching.
